ALUMNI EVALUATION
Introduction
This report is prepared within the framework of the internal evaluation and accreditation process of the MSc Programme “Theory of Law and Interdisciplinary Legal Studies,” in accordance with the quality assurance standards of the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education, conducted from 10 to 16 March 2026.
The purpose of the report is to:
- assess the quality of the programme through alumni experience,
- investigate graduates’ professional outcomes,
- evaluate the relevance of learning outcomes to the labour market and academic progression,
- support the continuous improvement process of the programme.
The report is based on the analysis of twenty-one (21) anonymous alumni questionnaires, reflecting their views, experiences, and overall evaluation of the programme, the learning process, learning outcomes, research and professional development, as well as suggestions for improvement.
Methodology
Data were collected through a structured alumni questionnaire covering the following thematic sections:
- Section A: Alumni profile
- Section B: Programme of studies
- Section C: Teaching and learning process
- Section D: Learning outcomes and skills
- Section E: Master’s thesis
- Section F: Student support and infrastructure
- Section G: Link to academic and professional career
- Section H: Overall evaluation
- Section I: Open-ended questions
Closed-ended questions were based on a five-point Likert scale (1–5), where 1 corresponds to “Not at all” and 5 to “Very much.”
The analysis is:
- descriptive (descriptive statistics)
- based on frequencies and convergent responses,
- enriched with qualitative analysis of open-ended answers.li>
Alumni Profile
- Year of Graduation
Most graduates completed the programme in 2023 and 2024, while a significant number indicated 2025 under “Other.” Limited participation is observed for the years 2020–2022.
Interpretation: The sample mainly consists of recent graduates, enhancing the relevance of the findings.
- Undergraduate Degree
Most graduates hold a Law degree. However, there is significant participation from other fields, including:
- Informatics
- History
- Theology
- Education Sciences
- Social and Economic Sciences
Interpretation: The programme attracts students from diverse academic backgrounds, confirming its interdisciplinary character.
- Employment Status
Graduates are mainly employed as:
- Lawyers
- Public sector professionals
- Private sector professionals
- PhD candidates and researchers
In some cases, multiple professional roles are combined.
Interpretation: The programme supports both professional integration and academic advancement.
- Time to Enter the Labour Market
Most graduates report securing employment before completing their studies, while only a few experienced delays.
Interpretation: The programme demonstrates high effectiveness in terms of employability.
Evaluation of the Programme of Studies
- Content and Quality
The programme content is evaluated as scientifically up-to-date and of high quality, with most responses at the upper end of the scale.
- Alignment with Learning Objectives
The programme effectively meets the objectives of legal theory and contributes substantially to the development of critical and theoretical thinking.
- Interdisciplinary Approach
The interdisciplinary dimension is rated as exceptionally high and constitutes a key strength.
- Programme Coherence
The connection between courses is assessed as adequate to very good, indicating a coherent structure.
- Workload
The workload is considered appropriate and well-balanced for postgraduate level studies.
Teaching and Learning Process
Teaching quality is evaluated very positively. Instructors:
- encourage critical dialogue,
- employ appropriate teaching methods,
- ensure transparent assessment procedures.
Overall assessment: High-quality teaching.
Learning Outcomes and Skills
The programme significantly contributes to the development of:
- critical and theoretical legal thinking,
- interdisciplinary analysis,
- research skills,
- academic writing,
- independent research capability.
Master’s Thesis
The thesis:
- substantially enhances research development,
- is supported by adequate supervision,
- is implemented through a clearly structured process.
Student Support and Infrastructure
Graduates evaluate positively:
- administrative support,

The programme:
