Its description does not include an explicit connection with legal theory, philosophy or methodology of law, history of law, or sociology of law, nor does it provide for a combination of different scientific methods. The study of more than one branch of law constitutes primarily cross-branch analysis within legal science and does not necessarily amount to interdisciplinarity.

For this particular course to be characterised, on the basis of its description in the Regulations, as clearly integrated into “Theory of Law and Interdisciplinary Legal Studies”, there would need to be a substantive connection between the above issues and the theoretical, philosophical, methodological, historical, or sociological foundations of law, or with other disciplines and their methods. Law and Informatics II is closer to the academic profile of the Master’s Programme because of its focus on the protection of fundamental rights, but for that reason alone it cannot be characterised as a Theory of Law course or as a genuinely interdisciplinary course.
